As Rush Soccer expands its reach globally, one of the most exciting outcomes is the upcoming launch of the first International Rush Cup (IRC), set for December 1-4, 2022, in the Tampa, Florida area.

The IRC, Rush’s flagship event, will host top-tier teams from both the U.S. and abroad, competing in an elite tournament that promises to draw the attention of college recruiters and scouts. Select Rush teams will also participate, spotlighting some of the club’s most promising young athletes.

“Our vision is for this event to become a World Cup-style experience for Rush teams from all over the globe,” shared Justin Miller, COO of Rush Soccer. “We want this tournament to be the ultimate destination for college scouts and professional recruiters to see the best talent Rush has to offer, especially from our Select teams. We’re excited to launch this inaugural event and watch it grow in the future.”

Along with college coaches, scouts from professional and semi-professional clubs—including Flatirons Rush, Vfl Wolfsburg, Minnesota United FC, HB Koge, Aurora FC, Colorado Rush, Bluffton Rush of the WPSL, Cedar Rush Stars, Medricher SV 02 Duisburg, and Virginia Beach United—will attend.

The event will also feature a three-day workshop for coaches, led by Pablo Toledo, Rush Soccer’s Sporting Project Director, along with the club’s top technical experts. This hands-on workshop will provide tools and insights to help coaches at all levels improve their training methods and enhance player development.

Additionally, attending players can join a college recruitment seminar, guided by Rush’s College Advisory directors, to gain essential knowledge on the recruiting process.
